WBC - cancelled for now but we'll be back.

It is time for us to make the official announcement. That the World Butchers' Challenge new date (August 2021) has also been cancelled. After much consultation with our community, suppliers and host we’ve made the call to cancel until such time that global travel becomes more certain and safe.

We’ve been pretty quiet lately as we’ve been making this decision but as we talked to people about the task at hand, one thing became very clear. You want the World Butchers’ Challenge to stick around as much as we do.

So armed with a new found determination to ensure our great event lives on, we’re turning back to the social platforms that keep our community thriving and alive in-between competition times. You’ll see us back on those accounts continuing to do what we do best - connect butchers and share our craft to the world.

We’re a small team here at WBC however, and your help to do this would mean the world. How?

  • Keep tagging us in your posts so we can share

  • Let us know if you’re able to take on an Instagram / Facebook takeover

  • Send us a blog post that we can share on our website and socials

  • Keep us in the loop if there are any national or regional events you want to run under the WBC banner

  • Hit us up with any of your other suggestions - the wilder the better!

To do any of those, message us via social or via email.

We’ve said this before and we’re saying it again because we absolutely believe it. We will be back (Arnold Schwarzenegger impression unintended) and we will make history with the next World Butchers’ Challenge.
