Watch this space…

Brisbane 2028 will bring the global butchery community together at a scale the industry rarely sees. Hosted by the Australian Meat Industry Council (AMIC), the World Butchers’ Challenge will welcome teams, young butchers, apprentices and industry from across the world, alongside leading businesses, partners and decision-makers. Set in Brisbane, a city known for its energy, hospitality and connection to Australia’s food and agriculture sector, it’s an opportunity to be part of a defining moment for the craft on an international stage.

At the centre is the competition itself, where national pride, reputation and years of preparation are on the line. But what surrounds it is just as important. Across the week, the program will open up into a broader sector experience, with a curated trade and exhibition space, global networking, and moments designed to bring the community together. From the build-up and anticipation, to the intensity of competition day, through to the final awards, it’s a week that’s as much about the atmosphere, the people and the experience as it is about the competition itself.
