The European Cup. Are you involved?

Whilst we’re all positively anticipating that moment when we can all meet again at the WBC, we’re excited and encouraged by news of activity ramping up in our WBC local & regional communities. Thrilled to bring to you news from Team France Boucherie outlined below:

The French Federation of Butchers will organize the first « Meatings » in Clermont-Ferrand on November 7 and 8, 2021, in the presence of many professionals and young butchers. As part of this event, we plan to organize exchanges between colleagues around the theme of innovation in meat sector.

On this occasion, we would like to inaugurate the 1st European Butchers’ Cup by teams. Each country will be represented by a team of 5 butchers (3 adults, 1 young butcher, 1 apprentice butcher) and 1 judge. The competitors will be evaluated on the cutting and the presentation of pieces of beef, veal, lamb, pork and poultry.

We would be delighted to welcome you among us on November 7 and 8, 2021 so that you can represent your country by participating in the competition.

The Covid-19 health crisis prevented us from rallying around festive events; I am also convinced that this European Butchers’ Cup will be the ideal opportunity to meet up or to get to know European fellows and do promote our skills and the meat sector.

We are currently working on the subject of the competition which will allow everyone to express their know-how. We will send it to you in September.

If you are interested in representing your country at this European Cup, please let us know as soon as possible by email : communication@boucherie-france.org

Together, we have a lot to learn from each other!

Best regards,

Jean-François Guihard
President of the French Federation of Butchers
